What Actually Happens When People Paint Together

Here’s a thing we have noticed over the years… put a paintbrush in someone's hand and they completely change. That bloke from IT who never speaks up in meetings, suddenly he is cracking jokes about his wonky sunflowers. The boss everyone is terrified of, she is asking the apprentice for help with her colour mixing.
It is not magic; it is just that painting puts everyone on the same level. It doesn’t matter if you have a PhD or left school at 16, we are all equally rubbish at drawing trees on day one. And there is something brilliant about that.
Finally, Something That Actually Relaxes People

Do you know what we love most about our paint events? Nobody is checking their phone every five minutes. Nobody's thinking about their inbox or that meeting they have got tomorrow. They are just... there, properly there.
Last month we had a team from a massive law firm. You know the type, stressed to the eyeballs, permanently attached to their phones. Two hours later they were arguing about whether Van Gogh would have used more yellow in his sunflowers. Real conversations, genuine laughs, no shop talk in sight.
That is what we are after, getting people to switch off from work mode and just be human together for a couple of hours.
The Confidence Thing (It is Real)
This might sound daft, but we have seen it happen hundreds of times. Someone who swears blind they "can't even draw a stick figure" ends up with a painting they are genuinely chuffed with. The smile on their face when they step back and look at what they have created? Priceless.
And here is the weird bit, that confidence does not just stay in the art room. We have had managers tell us their team members are more willing to speak up in meetings after a paint session. It makes sense when you think about it, if you can have a go at painting Starry Night in front of your colleagues, suggesting a new idea in the boardroom no longer seems so scary.
Why We're Not Like the Others

Look, we could give you all the corporate speak about "innovative team building solutions," but honestly? We just do paint parties well. Here's why teams keep coming back to us:
We will Come to Your Office (Or You Can Come to Us) Fancy turning your meeting room into an art studio? We will rock up with everything you need. Prefer somewhere with a proper bar? We work with some cracking venues across Manchester, Liverpool, and the surrounding areas where you can make a proper night of it.
Big Names Trust Us - We're not blowing our own trumpet here, but when ITV, BBC, Sainsbury's Bank and Deloitte book us for their do's, we must be doing something right. These are not companies that mess about, they want results and they keep coming back.
No Art Degree Required - Our instructors are lovely people who will not make you feel like a mug if you cannot tell your Monet from your Manet. They will guide you through everything, and honestly, some of the best paintings we see come from people who thought they could not draw to save their lives.
We Sort Everything - We bring the paints, brushes, canvases, aprons, the lot. We set up, we run the session, we clean up. Your job is to turn up and have a laugh. We even bring photo props because everyone wants a selfie with their masterpiece, don't they?
What You Actually Get Out of It
Right, let us cut to the chase. What is in it for you and your team?
People talk to each other properly. Not the "how was your weekend" small talk, but actual conversations. Shared struggles with getting the sky the right shade of blue tend to break down barriers faster than any trust exercise.
Everyone chills out, completely. We are talking about people who have not switched off from work in months, suddenly spending two hours focused on nothing but mixing colours and trying to make their tree look less like a lollipop.
Your team gets a bit more creative. Not just with art, with everything. Once you have had a go at being creative, it is easier to think outside the box when you are back at work.
Plus, and this is the big one, people enjoy it! They are not counting down the minutes until they can escape. They are usually asking when we can do it again.
The Bottom Line
Here is what it comes down to we run corporate events that people want to attend. No eye-rolling, no fake enthusiasm, no one trying to sneak off early. Just a good time with the people you work with, creating something you can stick on your wall at home.
We cover Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Yorkshire, and anywhere else you need us to be. Whether it is five people or a team of fifty, we will make sure everyone has a laugh and goes home with something they are proud of.
Because honestly, life is too short for rubbish team building events. Your team deserves better than another trust fall or personality test. They deserve an afternoon where they can switch off, have a giggle and discover that Dave from accounts is quite funny when he is not worried about spreadsheets.
