Hen Parties with a Difference (But Still with Wine!)

Planning a hen do that is a bit different but still involves plenty of wine? You are in the right place! Here are some cracking ideas that will give you something unique without ditching the alcohol.

Paint and Sip Sessions

A paint and sip session is perfect if you want to try something creative. Everyone gets a canvas, some brushes and a glass of wine. You follow along with an instructor, but honestly, it does not matter if your painting looks nothing like theirs – that is half the fun.

The bride gets to relax, have a laugh with her mates and everyone goes home with something to remember the day. Plus, you can keep topping up the wine throughout, so it gets funnier as the afternoon goes on.

Wine Tasting with a Creative Twist

Standard wine tasting can be a bit stuffy. Instead, do the tasting first, then get creative with what is left. Paint the empty bottles to use as wedding decorations or have a go at decorating wine glasses.

You still get to try different wines and learn a bit about them, but you have got something hands-on to do as well. It works brilliantly if the bride likes her wine but gets bored easily.

Wine and Cheese Painting

Set up a proper spread of cheese and wine, then paint still life pictures of your spread before you eat it. It is quite posh but still relaxed.

The cheese gives you something substantial to soak up the wine, and painting food is easier than landscapes or portraits. Everyone's happy munching and painting, and the bride feels all sophisticated!
